We’re thrilled to share that Stevenage Borough Council’s procurement of a new Active Communities Leisure Management Contract has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Best Procurement Delivery Award – Local Government and Health by the UK National GO Awards 2025.

SLC is proud to have supported the delivery of this procurement which secured an outstanding outcome for the Council and its community.

Acknowledging the shortlisting, SLC Director Toby Kingsbury said “We’re so pleased that the Stevenage team has been nominated for this award. SLC has been a longstanding advisor to the Council over the years and the procurement process and outcome is a fine example of local authority commissioning. They took the opportunity to think carefully about the strategic direction of their leisure services and how to optimise their planned, major investment into facilities. We wish them the best of luck with the award and are immensely proud to have played our part.”

As the most prestigious Awards event in UK public procurement, the UK National GO Awards has been recognising and celebrating the outstanding achievements of all organisations and individuals involved in the procurement and delivery of public sector services for more than 20 years.

Duncan Wood-Allum, Managing Director of SLC said. “SLC doesn’t typically ‘do’ awards, but we are delighted when our clients are recognised for their achievements when we have supported them. Good luck to Stevenage BC!”

We’d like to congratulate all those who have been shortlisted and we’re looking forward to attending the awards evening in May!
