As we approach the end of 2017, SLC is in the process of delivering a number of interesting and important projects for clients across the country.
The team has been entrusted to support a number of local authority clients in their leisure and / or cultural procurement. Ongoing procurements currently include Watford Borough Council, North Kesteven District Council, West Lindsey District Council, Crawley Borough Council, Barrow Borough Council and a major London Borough.
SLC is also providing advice and support in relation to a number of facility investment projects, from the development of facility investment strategies in London, Surrey, the West Midlands and the North West. We are also delivering a feasibility study for a large-scale leisure development in the South East, and supporting the planning applications of a major London sports ground redevelopment, a suburban leisure park and a new school’s community sport and leisure provision.
SLC’s strategy team has recently been commissioned to deliver a major sport and physical activity needs assessment and proactive strategies for two London boroughs in a joint commission. The project will be seeking to identify innovative and effective ways of targeting inactive populations, understanding their barriers and motivations and developing a clear strategy to support more people to become active from underrepresented groups.
Looking ahead to 2018 we are looking forward to continuing to support our existing clients, entering collaborations with new clients and partners, and developing the range of services and products we can offer to the sport, leisure and cultural sectors.
Duncan Wood-Allum, Managing Director of SLC said, “We’ve had the privilege of working with some very high profile clients this year on some fantastic projects. Feedback from all our projects has been extremely positive and at times humbling. Our attention to detail, complete focus on quality and client centric approach delivers for our clients and motivates us as a business to keep innovating and growing. Without the support of our incredible team, none of this would be possible. I’m very proud of them.”
